Welcome to our English Camp "The Sun" 2017.

English Club uses such songs:

And of course we can't but mention the main American and English games we play in.

Bob The Weasel:

You Will Need:
  • A small object like a marble ring or a coin
How To:
  1. Have the kids create a circle and face inwards. Now you choose one person to be “Bob, the Weasel”.
  1. Bob has to stand in the middle of the circle. Ask ‘Bob’ to close his eyes and spin him around the circle.
  1. Now tell the kids to pass the object, person to person, behind their back. They have to chant in unison ‘Keep going, keep going, Bob the Weasel”. Children can also pass the object in different directions.
  1. Now Bob has to guess who has the object.
  1. The game will continue until Bob can guess the correct person with the coin. The person with the object will become the next ‘Bob’.

The Kid Who Cried Wolf:

You Will Need:
  • A large area to play
  • 3 or more friends
How To:
  1. Select a base.
  1. Select one player to be the wolf. The wolf has to hide, and the other players have to stand at the base and count up to 50.
  1. After reaching 50, the players have to go searching for the wolf.
  1. Whoever finds the wolf has to yell out ‘Wolf’ and let other teammates know about it.
  1. Now the players have to run back to the base without being tagged by the world.
  1. The wolf cannot start running until he hears the word ‘wolf.’
  1. If the player tags a player, then he will become the new wolf. Begin the game again. Come a rainy day and this can be one of the indoor group games for kids.

Musical Chairs:

You Will Need:
  • Chairs
  • A music player
How To:
  1. Have all the kids make a circle with their chairs, with seats point out. You take out one chair.
  1. As you play the music, the players have to walk around the circle. And as you stop the music, the players have to sit in the chair. The person who’ll get no seat will be out of the game.
  1. Once the player is out of the game, take out one more chair and start the music again.
  1. The last player remaining will be the winner.

 Buzzing Bees:

You Will Need:
  • A small object like a ring, coin or marble
How To:
  1. Have the kids sit down on the floor or ground as a team.
  1. Select one player to be the volunteer. The volunteer has to leave the room.
  1. Now hand another player sitting down a ring. He has to hide the object in his or hand or pocket.
  1. Call back the volunteer and ask him to guess who has the object through the buzzing sound. The louder the buzzing, the closer the volunteer is to the object. The buzzing sound will be the hint of where the object is located.
  1. Once the volunteer finds the object, select another player to leave the room.
  1. To make the game more competitive, time the volunteers to see who can find the object fastest.

Seagulls And Crows:

You Will Need:
  • Nothing
How To:
  1. Split the kids into two teams. One team will be ‘crows’ and the other team will be ‘seagulls’.
  1. Make ending lines for both the teams.
  1. Have the kids line up facing each other, with three feet between each of them.
  1. Narrate a story using two elements- crows and seagulls.
  1. When you say ‘crow,’ the crows have to run back to their ending line. In the process, the seagulls will try to tag the crows before they reach the end of the room. If the seagulls can catch the crow, the crow will become a part of the seagull’s group.
  1. It will be the same with seagulls too. If you call out the word ‘seagull’ in the story, the teammates have to run to their ending line. The crows will try to tag the seagulls.
  1. The team that has the most number of players on one side will be the winner.
